Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an action-adventure game that was developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. The highly anticipated game was released on 28th April 2023 as the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
The game has been loved by fans and streamers for its incredible story line and gameplay. However the game has been facing major bugs and crashes on all platforms. The major issues span from audio desyncing to continuous crashes and choppy framerate even on the best hardware available to players. The game had received mostly negative reviews on Steam and in response the developers Respawn had promised fans to fix the issues immediately. The game has received its first major patch since its release a few days ago and fans hope this resolves the issues.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to EA’s 2019 game Fallen Order. The story picks up 5 years from the events of Fallen Order still following the adventures of Cal and BD-1 as they struggle to fight the Galactic Empire. The map of Survivor has expanded massively and the game also of introduction of multiple new lightsaber combat stances.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor update patch notes
Although Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been praised by fans, the game has received negative reviews due to major bugs and crashes. As promised, developers Respawn have released the first major patch for the game hoping to resolve most of the issues hindering the game. While PC players on Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA app got the update for the game on May 1st, console players are getting the update on May 2nd. Here are the patch notes for the game.
PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S update
- Multiple crashes were fixed across PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S and various areas of the game
- Fixed crashes that were tied to skipping cinematics
- Performance improvements across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
- Fixed an issue with dynamic cloth inside the Mantis
- Fixed various rendering issues
- Fixed an issue with registered Nekko colors not saving
- Fixed an issue with registered Nkko disappearing from the stable
- Fixed issues with cinematic dialogue overlapping
- Fixed various collision issues
- Fixed an issue with AI remaining in T Pose during photo mode
- Fixed a freeze that occasionally occurred while talking to Doma
- Fixed a burger where the BD-oil VFX did not properly render
- Fixed an issue where players were getting stuck inside the Chamber of Duality if they didn’t save after leaving the chamber and die
PC update
- Performance improvements for non-raytraced rendering
Fans have been hoping that this patch resolves most issues allowing them to enjoy the absolutely beautiful game. EA has also confirmed its commitment to releasing more patches that improve performance and fix bugs on every platform.
