Hogwarts Legacy is one of the finest open-world RPGs that has been released in the past decade. The game captures the sense of mystery and magic perfectly. Additionally, players are in the shoes of a fifth-year student who can be customized and created by the player.

With all these features, Hogwarts Legacy also offers addictive gameplay and a loop full of interesting magical encounters and foes. One such group of encounters that can be hard, and pose a challenging threat to wizards is the Infamous Foe encounters.

There are 21 in total, and all of them have different dialogues and ways in which they interact and attack the player. Here is a guide that will help players find these encounters.

Where are the Infamous Foes in Hogwarts Legacy?

Out of the 21 Infamous Foes, almost half can be found in the open world of Hogwarts Legacy. The remaining ones can be found in various side quests in the open world. The names of these side quests are also mentioned here so that players can find and start them.

Infamous Foe locations in Hogwarts Legacy – North:

The North half of the Hogwarts Legacy Map is home to 2 legendary Foes. Here are their locations:

  • Rampant Dugbog: Can be found southeast of East North Bog Floo Flame (Dugbog), in the Hogwarts Valley Region. Players can reach this location pretty early into the game.
  • Tempeste Thorne: Can also be found in the Hogwarts Valley region, eastwards from Falbarton Castle (Dark Wizard). The dark wizard can be a little tricky to see in the castle, but players should just be patient while looking for her.

Infamous Foe locations in Hogwarts Legacy – Central

The central area of the open world in Hogwarts Legacy is host to a plethora of dangerous creatures and foes. Additionally, it is home to 5 Infamous Foes. Here are their locations:

  • The Grim: Inside the depths of a stunning waterfall, in Hogwarts Valley, South of West Hogwarts Floo Flame. Players will face a canine here.
  • The White Wolf: He can also be found in a cave located in Hogwarts Valley, South of West Hogwarts Floo Flame. Players will face a canine here.
  • Quagmire Troll: Players will face a troll in the Hogwarts Valley area, in a hidden den across the river east of Northern South Sea Bog Floo Flames. The troll is a damage sponge, so players should use their most potent spells on it.
  • Belgruff the Bludgeoner: Players will face a goblin, in a castle called Rookwood Castle in the Feldcroft Region. The goblin is a formidable opponent, players should be on their A-game to defeat him.
  • Ogbert the old: Inside the coastal cavern cave, up the track from the East South Sea Bog Floo Flames. Players will face a formidable goblin who will truly challenge their combat capabilities.

Infamous Foe locations in Hogwarts Legacy – South

The South Region is an end-game region in Hogwarts Legacy. Players should stack up on the necessary potions and spells before entering this area to hunt the Infamous Foes. There are 5 Infamous Foes in the region. Here are their locations:

  • Iona Morgan– Located in the depths of Poidsear Coast, inside the Poidsear castle- players will face a challenging dark wizard. Dark wizards as always will have various tricks up their sleeves, be careful.
  • Alisa Travers– In the Manor Cape region, northeast of the West Manor Cape, downstairs from the destroyed and ruined manor house. Players will face a dark wizard who will truly pose a threat. (Note- Players should possess Alohomora Level 3 to reach this area). In general unlocking and levelling up Alohomora to level 3 is a thing players should concentrate on early in the game.
  • Dustin Trinity– Also found in Manor Cape, inside Henrietta’s Hideaway at the end of the peninsula southwards from West Manor Cape Floo Flame. The Trinity is found near an abandoned building that seems to have been destroyed and left. Players will face a trio of challenging Dark Wizards who each have different tricks up their sleeves.
  • Silvanus Selwyn– Inside the dangerous Clagmar Castle, Clagmar Coast- players will face another dark wizard.

Infamous Foe locations in Hogwarts Legacy via Side quests:

The remaining Infamous Foes are found in various sidequests. Here are the side quests where they are found:

  • Grodbick– Grodbrick is a cunning and scheming goblin that players will face in the middle of the Lodgok Loyalty quest, in Marunweem Lake.
  • The Insatiable Spider– The insatiable spider is a massive beast that can be encountered during the Tangled Spider side quest. A dangerous spider that will make players feel like Ron Weasley.
  • Riparian Troll- A dangerous Troll, just like the trolls in the Harry Potter movies, can be found during the side quest Beeting a Curse.
  • Bardolph Beaumont’s Corpse– This Infamous Foe can be found during the Brother’s Keeper side quest.
  • Catrin Hogarty– A dark wizard full of scary spells that players will encounter during the relationship quest- The Lost Child.
  • Alexandra’s Troll- Pergit, Alexandra’s Troll can be unlocked firstly by completing the side quest Troll Control. This will lead to the side quest The Tale of Rowland Oakes which will make players face another goblin.
  • The Absconder– A spider found during The Absconder side quest.
  • Gwendolyn Zhou– A dark wizard found during a relationship quest called a Basis for Black

These are the locations of all 21 Famous Foes in Hogwarts Legacy. Many of these foes are very dangerous and will pose a formidable threat to wizards. Each one poses a different challenge, and players will have to use different strategies to defeat them.

Players are recommended to level up according to the region they go to and possess the appropriate potions. Levelling up the Alohomora spell to level 3 will also be hugely beneficial to access these dangerous locations.
