Does Batman really die in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League?
Want to know whether Batman really does in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Here's everything you need to know
Rocksteady announced a new game set in the same universe after the Batman: Arkham Knight events called Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Players have been wondering whether the legendary Batman, will also be one of the members that will be killed.
Now that the game has finally come into early access for Dulexe edition owners there is finally an answer. The Batman Arkham series is probably the most iconic superhero game franchise ever released. The Batman voiced by the Legendary, Late Kevin Conroy is a character that players have grown up with since 2009.
Sadly, Batman finally dies in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
To answer the question, basically yes. The Batman, played by the Legendary Kevin Conroy( his second last performance of Batman before passing away) does meet his end at the hands of Harley Quinn. Players will see Batman stalking them throughout, the game to collect information about Taskforce X.
Players will first face Batman in the museum set piece in the game. In this set-piece, players will face, finally feel a sense of fear and horror when Batman is in a Predator situation. Batman will frighten, and humiliate the squad in this encounter.
Finally, during the next encounter, once the squad defeats Batman. King Shark, ties and puts Batman onto a bench. Task Force X tries to interrogate him to no avail. Finally, Harley Quinn shoots the caped crusader from point-blank range and finally ends him.
What’s next for Batman Arkhamverse?
This abrupt ending to one of the best and most iconic portrayals of Batman is getting a very negative reaction from gamers all over the world. The caped crusader in the Arkham games was an undefeatable knight who used to persevere in all situations.
One thing this showcases though is Rocksteady’s way to finally deliver the character arc for Harley Quinn that has been teased ever since Joker died in Arkham City. In the DLC for Arkham City, she captures the Dark Knight and tries to kill him slowly. Luckily, Batman was saved by Robin then. Now that there is no Robin or anyone to stop her, Harley Quinn finally ends Batman and accomplishes her 10-year-old arc.
Players should keep in mind that this scene can be a little triggering, and jarring. So they should try to look at this scene objectively for what it is. Moreover, the predator sequence where Batman absolutely destroys the Squad is like a perfect love letter to fans of the Batman Arkham franchise. The ending to the legendary Kevin Conroy’s Batman is truly heartbreaking and one that players will not forget anytime soon.
