Recovering the combat cache first came as a weekly quest in Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season 3 and it used to provide the players who recovered it with 12,000 XP. The combat cache is similar to the supply drop. This quest is pretty straightforward, like most of the others and one simple prerequisite is that you must stay alive until the combat cache is dropped. Here are the steps you can follow to complete this quest:
1. Locate the combat cache
As mentioned earlier, the combat cache is similar to the supply drop and is randomly dropped from a rift in the middle of the game rather than being already spawned in the map. So you have to be aware and keep a check on the map, as when the combat cache drops, it will be marked on the map for all the players. So until then, you have to survive if you want to complete this quest
2. Go to the combat cache
As soon as the combat caches drop, their location will be marked on the map for everybody to go for it. There will be various players heading for the combat cache and you can end up in combat with these players if you don’t hurry towards it. It is also advisable to try to complete this quest when in squads or duos, as you will have a teammate to back you up.
3. Open the combat cache
After you have managed to get through all the other players or you were the first one to reach the combat cache, now is the most important thing, to open it. It’s quite simple to open and recover the combat cache. Please note that the cache doesn’t open instantly and requires a short time of interaction to be opened. The challenge only requires players to “assist,” so the more people engaging in opening the cache, the better.
To complete the challenge you have to do the above steps a couple of more times as it requires you to open the combat cache 3 times and after you have completed it, you will be generously rewarded with 30,000 XP to go to the battle pass. Remember, the more people involved in opening the cache, the easier it becomes to fulfill the challenge’s requirements. As the end of Chapter 4 Season, 3 approaches, and anticipation builds for Season 4, these XP will be invaluable for your progress. So get ready to open the combat cache.
