GTA 6 Leak: Everything you need to know about the much-anticipated game

With the hype for GTA 6 increasing day by day, fans cannot wait to find out more about the game.

The build-up to GTA 6 has been a unique one. Fans have seen many rumors, speculations, data breaches, and even an FBI investigation related to the game. This has definitely been the longest time frame between the launch of two GTA games, amplifying the situation’s intensity. However, it appears that fans are finally getting closer to the launch of the date.

Finally, Rockstar Games has made some official announcements regarding the game. The game’s official trailer will be launched in early December of 2023, coinciding with the studio’s 25th anniversary.

With over 1.5 million likes on Twitter, it has already become the most-liked gaming tweet of all time. Other than that, fans do have some information about the game obtained through unofficial methods.

Two reports released in July and September of 2022 leaked much information about the game. Almost 90 pieces of footage, screenshots, information about characters, maps, and full conversations between characters were leaked to the public. Despite the publishers’ best efforts to get rid of as much as they could, the leaks confirmed much of what was speculated earlier.

Rockstar Games all but confirmed the leaks’ legitimacy as they commented that they would properly introduce the game when it was ready. The FBI also got involved in the entire situation, as they found out this was the same hacking group involved in Microsoft, NVidia, Uber and Samsung breaches.

All that Fans know about GTA 6

Thanks to the leaks, players have information about GTA 6 relating to its protagonist, the game’s location, the map design, and a few more details fans have found out.

The Protagonists

The leaks and previous rumors indicate that the game will run a dual-protagonist system. Fans will get to play as a duo of bank robbers, supposedly named Jason & Lucia. Not much is known about Jason, and Lucia is supposed to be a Latina.

This will be the series’ first female protagonist since the first GTA and the only female protagonist in a 3D GTA game of its style today. A Tommy Vercetti return remains to be seen.

Map Design & Location

The game is almost definitely going back to Vice City for its next installment. While fans will probably get official confirmation through the trailer in December, the leaks have all but confirmed it. The reports have claimed that the game will launch in Vice City (based in Miami), and more cities might be added later.

The size of the map will also be traded for density. The map is supposed to contain more indoor environments and intricate locations than previous GTA games, which inflated the map size by including hollow buildings. The map will include infamous Miami locations such as South Beach, Wynwood, Port Miami, and the Bayside area.

Gameplay

The new GTA will include tools we haven’t seen before. These include an auto-dialer, a pool cue, a whole set of golf clubs, a crowbar, and a cut-off tool for cutting fences, chained doors, and containers. You may also be able to get a Slim Jim to crack open doors of older cars. However, modern security systems make newer cars inaccessible.

Hijacking modern and luxury vehicles will require you to use the Immobiliser Bypass. You can also dodge law enforcement by using a Tracker Jammer to get the cops off your back. The health system has also been tweaked. Players can use food & drinks, painkillers, trauma kits or similar items to regain health. Items like cigarettes can be used to increase adrenaline or get a stamina boost.

Additional items coming to the game could include a torch, USB Drive, and binoculars. Your protagonist may also carry a duffle bag to carry cash, gold and consumables. Lastly, fans get to see the return of many classic weapons, such as Micro SMG, Rocket Launcher, Assault Rifle, Knife, Compact SMG, and Pump Action Shotgun.
