God of War Ragnarok, the latest installment in the popular God of War franchise, was initially released without a New Game+ mode. However, it has since been added to the game. This has brought with it plenty of new features and content for fans of the series. In this mode, players can start a new playthrough of the game with all of their equipment, skills, enchantments, and tasks from their previous playthrough.
To start a New Game+ playthrough, players need to have completed the main story and updated to version 4.0.0 or higher. Players can start the mode by selecting the “New Game+” option from the game’s title screen after meeting these requirements. The game will prompt them to select a completed save file and then create a new manual save. What exactly gets carried over will be determined by the most recent save file.

All the new features in God of War Ragnarok New Game+
One of the most exciting things about the New Game+ mode is the ability to carry over all of the player’s equipment. This includes armor and weapons from players’ previous playthrough. This means that players can start the game with a significant advantage. Players can continue to upgrade their gear as they progress through the game. Additionally, players can unlock new armor sets, shields, and color combinations by using Hacksilver, the in-game currency.
Players can also upgrade certain equipment to Level 10, which rewards them with Gilded Coins. Players can purchase a selection of special enchantments from the shop using these coins. These enchantments replicate the perks provided by some of Kratos’ Armor and Shield Ronds. This allows players to create some incredibly powerful builds.
In addition to the new armor sets and enchantments, the New Game+ mode also offers more challenging boss fights. The game’s bosses have new attack patterns and Runic Armor amps up the difficulty on the game’s two hardest difficulty settings. Santa Monica Studio expanded the arena in Niflheim to enable players to choose between all of God of War Ragnarok’s companions. There is also a new platinum tier for Kill Labors and Ratatasks.
Players can also choose a Black and White render mode and skip cutscenes and cinematics by holding the X button. These options allow players to customize their playthrough to their liking and make the game more challenging or streamlined depending on their preferences.
The New Game+ mode in God of War Ragnarok offers plenty of new content and features for fans of the series. The ability to carry over equipment and unlock new armor sets and enchantments add significant replay value to the game. The more challenging boss fights and expanded arena offer a fresh challenge for even the most experienced players.
