Clive’s story is one full of action and adventure that gets a spoonful of dialogues and cut scenes for better graphic appeal. For an average player to make it down the touchline, it will normally take 35-40 hours. This comes at a price that players are playing at hard difficulty and honing their skills to the highest point possible. This at times can turn excruciating, be it engaging with a boss or trying to solve a mystery. With enough time and effort, the game is supposedly a 40-hour-long journey that is both hard and rewarding at the same time.

Cutscenes from the game take quite some time which could be cut short with a push of a button. However, living life through the eyes of Clive is something that players might not want to miss. Immersing fully into the game is the way it should be played rather than half-cooking your way to the end. Thus without missing the details and storyline players should land the game somewhere around 40 hours.

Players have the option to choose their path in Final Fantasy 16. Whether or not to go after side quests and missions that involve hunting and gathering bounties is a part of the game. Sticking solely to the storyline is one way of completing the game early. However, those who wish to see the game thoroughly will have to put down nearly 50 hours on the table.

This however has its perks. Going through towns and villages gives more glimpses into the graphics and grandeur of the game and appreciating nature is one way of playing things. Honing your skills through side quests and getting rewards that are otherwise not available are a few of the things players can look forward to while playing Final Fantasy 16.

After everything is said and done it will always come down to how well-prepared and good players are at the game. Also, developers went on to add Game+ mode which gives another challenge for the players with the new arcade mode and Ultimaniac mode variant. This separately would take another 50 hours which will eventually add up to a total of 100 hours. Considering the cult following of Final Fantasy 16 there sure will be a few cult fans who are well in love with the game and will chase after every bit of it.
