Epic Games introduced the Forest Biome to Fortnite in Chapter 4, and since then, it has introduced a whole lot of interesting stuff. From Pod plants to the ancient temple, the Forest Biome has a lot to offer. One of the best features of this new section is being able to find and pet different animals. One such animal that players are in love with is the Wolves.
Wildlife of all varieties roams the island of Fortnite. Different species of wildlife behave and function differently and serve different purposes. Players can tame most forms of wildlife to serve as their ally in battle or as their trusty steed. Epic Games has done a lot with the new chapter. Some of these are animals that roam on land, while others are sea animals. However, the cool design and mobility of the Wolves have fascinated players the most.
Chapter 4 has added a lot of new content to the game. Grind Rails changed to Wood Vines, Speed Objects, Cosmetics, a Car Garage, Sky/Ground Race Tracks, and a new Supercar.

How to find and pet Wolves in Fortnite
The most ferocious predators, like wolves and boars, will attack you as soon as they spot you, introducing a whole new threat to the famous battle royale game. Animals like chickens and frogs will quietly go about their business. This makes finding and petting Wolves in Fortnite a really risky endeavor. However, it’s rewarding for the players too.
To put Wolves in Fortnite, players have to find them first. The best way to find Wolves in Fortnite is on the west side of the map, only in the outdoor region. Below is a list of areas that are prone to having a higher quality of Wolves:
- Breakwater Bay
- The Citadel
- Frenzy Fields
- Shattered Slabs
Finding wolves can be easy; however, petting Wolves in Fortnite is a risky job. But once tamed, they can be a player’s greatest allies; they are most usable in Solo modes but can pull off wonders even in party modes. The first method will be to jump on them from heights if you spot one. However, if even a pixel is missed, you’ll alert the wolf, resulting in an outright fight with the creature. Below is a detailed guide to the second method of petting Wolves in Fortnite:
- Find creatures like a boar or chicken or even a wolf, and kill them for their ‘meat.’
- Put this meat down close to a wolf, then run away.
- You can approach a Wolf safely after it becomes preoccupied with the meal.
- To ‘tame’ the Wolf, press and hold the command button.
This is the least risky way to pet wolves in Fortnite. These creatures have many good advantages, like aiding in fights and acting as a fast transportation system. Once mounted, players can jump up through steep surfaces, too, something vehicles are not programmed to do. So this makes the whole endeavor to find and pet Wolves in Fortnite a rewarding feature.
