LEGO Fortnite is one of three new games alongside Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival added to Fortnite after the end of Season OG. The model was unveiled during the Big Bang event, with a full reveal at the Game Awards 2023. The game mode shares many similarities with Minecraft. It even allows you to choose between survival and creative modes.

Epic Games has entered into a long-term partnership with the LEGO group to create the game mode. To celebrate the occasion, the developers of Fortnite also gave away a Fortnite x LEGO skin. Considering LEGO Fortnite is a sandbox survival game, you must build many structures and defenses to survive.

Planks are used to build such structures in LEGO Fortnite. Unlike most game resources, LEGO Fortnite planks aren’t readily available throughout the environment. Instead, players are required to obtain these resources through certain special means. You will have to craft them separately, similar to Granite slabs.

Craft Planks in LEGO Fortnite

To craft planks in LEGO Fortnite, you will require a lumber mill. To build one, you must first acquire 8 pieces of wood and 15 pieces of stone. Collecting these items shouldn’t be too tricky, as they are readily available throughout the environment. Craft a stone pickaxe and a forest pickaxe from your crafting station to harvest these resources.

After collecting the required resources, craft a lumber mill that will allow you to make planks in LEGO Fortnite. Interact with the mechanism and select planks from the available recipe options. For each piece of wood in your inventory, you can receive one plank. As they do not cost much, acquiring a lot of them should not be an issue.

After selecting the recipe, head over to the input section. Here, you must choose the number of pieces of wood you wish to convert to planks in LEGO Fortnite. Crafting a wooden plank requires you to collect each individual from the mill. They will not be added to your inventory automatically.

Planks are required to create buildings and other structures, upgrade your village from level 2 to level 3, and make a basic shovel. While planks are a fairly essential item in the game, they are also the precursor to many essential items.
