Overwatch 2: Season 4 brings a new support hero to the game called Lifeweaver. He is Overwatch 2‘s ninth support hero and the first Thai character. Lifeweaver deviates from the traditional idea of the support hero being healing-focused. His ability is primarily mobility-based, both for himself and his team. But before getting to use the hero in Overwatch 2, players need to know how to unlock it in the first place.
Players have a couple of different options for unlocking Lifeweaver during season four. Blizzard is giving everyone free access to Lifeweaver for a limited time, called BOB and Weaver.
Every time a new hero is added to the game, players will want to play him or her in order to get used to their abilities. So, expect to see a surge of Lifeweaver getting picked for the next few weeks quite frequently, as is the case for Gekko in Valorant.

According to Overwatch 2 lore, the son of a wealthy Thai family, Niran Pruksamanee (the Lifeweaver), completed his education at the prestigious Vishkar Academy. There, he developed a deep connection to the strength and beauty of nature. Disgusted by the impact of capitalist consumerism on nature’s marvels, he invented biolight, a more organic variation of hardlight. He thought to make biolight free for everyone, but Vishkar claimed the ownership for themselves. Fearing the worse, he took the research and ran in order to keep it safe.

There are two ways players can unlock Lifeweaver in Overwatch 2. The first is by purchasing the Premium Battle Pass for 1,000 Overwatch Coins, which is equivalent to $10. This option instantly unlocks Lifeweaver and includes 80 levels of cosmetics. Additionally, players will have a chance to obtain a mythic skin for Sigma called Galactic Emperor if they complete the Battle Pass.
Another way to unlock Lifeweaver is to grind through the free version of the Season 4 Battle Pass to reach level 45. Although this is the free version, players still need to grind extra hard as they have to complete various daily and weekly challenges. One important thing to remember is that if players only focus on unlocking Lifeweaver, then they will have less time to practice in competitive mode. If you want to get Lifeweaver added to your hero lineup, it’s better to opt for the paid version. Moreover, if a player fails to unlock Lifeweaver through the Season 4 Battle Pass, fear not: you can complete hero challenges in Season 5 to unlock him.
Lastly, Lifeweaver’s arrival in Overwatch 2 Season 4 is a much-anticipated event for fans of the game. With his unique abilities and backstory, he adds a new dimension to the game’s hero roster.
