Amouranth gets banned on Twitch for the first time since 2021
Amouraanth gets hit by Twitch's infamous ban hammer yet again.
One of the most popular female streamers on Twitch, Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, has become the latest victim of the infamous ban hammer from Twitch. This is notably the first time that the streamer has been banned from the platform since 2021.
Twitch is no stranger to banning its creators no matter the size of their audience or the influence they hold over the people. If they feel that a policy from their Terms of Service has been violated, they are quick to ban the creator off the platform and explain the reasons later.
Twitch is one of the biggest livestreaming platforms which sees millions of viewers tuning in to watch their favorite creators on a daily basis. The Amazon-owned purple platform is the go-to site for fans for live-streaming entertainment.
Amouranth is one of the biggest female creators on the platform and has been no stranger to controversy ever since her rise to fame. She has always been one to walk the wire on Twitch’s ToS with her almost inappropriate streams and actions on said streams.
Even though Amouranth has been a creator who is notorious for such streams, she hadn’t recently been under fire for any of her actions as she had taken all her shenanigans to the subscription-based website, OnlyFans.
However, in a surprise action, Amouranth’s Twitch channel has been banned and viewers are unable to view her channel as is traditional Twitch ban fashion. All links to her page now display the “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.” message.
Why was Amouranth banned on Twitch?
Though neither Twitch nor Amouranth herself has opened up about the reasoning for the ban, fans have been quick to speculate the possible reasons behind the ban.
Most pointed fingers at the recent spat Amo had with Adriana Chechik when the streamer mentioned she had “no respect” for Amouranth. Siragusa responded by calling Chechik out to a fight in the boxing ring stating “I’ll challenge her in the ring. Catch me outside, how about that? “
This comment is being speculated as the reason for the ban on Amouranth currently as Twitch’s policy clearly states that attempts or threats to physically harm others are a bannable offense whether it’s on the platform or not. Given that Amouranth challenged Adriana in a physical fight, there is more reason than not to believe it to be the reason for the ban.
