In light of this issue, streamers like Pokimane,Hasanabi, and Mizkif have actively begun urging Twitch to ban gambling on the platform. Asmongold, however, is of the opinion that Twitch will not ban gambling on the platform. Following his latest livestream, the OTK streamer took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the issue.

As per the co-founder of One True King (OTK), Twitch might not ban gambling, a sentiment that has been echoed by political streamer HasanAbi as well. The reason behind this is that the platform procures massive revenue for free from these gambling streams.

"I don't think Twitch will ban gambling. It's extremely pervasive and more socially acceptable than ever in the US. The only thing that will make it stop is if people start killing themselves and/or there's a mass media campaign against it that reaches advertisers."

The outspoken streamer believes that the only way that gambling can be stopped on Twitch is if people start killing themselves or start a mass campaign against the platform. The serious claim made by the streamer comes after he vehemently criticized ItsSliker, calling him a ”fu**ing parasite” for scamming people.

He urged the Twitch officials to place a permanent ban on ItsSliker while simultaneously claiming that the ‘affected people’ should be the primary concern so that such incidents could be evaded in near future.

How did fans react to Asmongold’s opinion?

The post made by Asmongold has led to a wave of reactions from the fans. Popular British YouTuber ‘Patterzz’ believed that Twitch should file a lawsuit which was done by YouTube ages ago. Zack, however, stated that the red platform had only banned gambling sponsorships rather than gambling itself.

Some of the fans were of the view that a platform that promotes ASMR streams wouldn’t be concerned about gambling streams, provided they generate high revenue. Others threw the idea of starting a petition and getting numerous signatures to curb such streams.
