After a successful 2021 Krafton has announced its BGMI 2022 Esports roadmap for 2022 with huge prize pools and upcoming tournaments. Here in this article, we will take a look at the recently unveiled BGMI 2022 esports roadmap with the list of upcoming tournaments, prize pool and more.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2022 (BGIS 2022) was a huge success for Krafton Inc. The event has a peak viewership of 460k viewers and had accumulated over 200 million views. After this huge success, Krafton has announced the BGMI 2022 esports roadmap with a huge prize pool of 6 crore INR.

Krafton Inc. has lined up four tournaments for the year of 2022 with huge prize pools. The list of the upcoming BGMI 2022 Esports roadmap is as follows:

  • Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge (BMOC)
  • Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series Season 1
  • Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS)
  • Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series Season 2

The upcoming Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge (BMOC) registrations will start at the end of this month and the in-game qualifiers at the end of March.

Krafton Inc. will host four tournaments this year with a huge prize pool of 2 crores INR each. This is the largest prize pool for a single esports event in India. A new season of BGIS (Battlegrounds Mobile India Series) will also be available later this year.

Krafton will also host two pro series this year each having a massive prize pool of 2 crores INR. Minu Lee head of BGMI, Krafton said:

We are steadfast to provide a global platform for these players to showcase and harness their skills”

Krafton’s announcement marks the most significant Esports announcement in India. Despite being only six months old, the title has already become one of the most popular in the country. With such a flurry of tournaments, there will be considerable growth for the BGMI scene in India.
