BGMI Ban: Krafton responds after game taken down from Google Play Store and Apple App store
BGMI Ban: Krafton responds: The Battlegrounds Mobile India game had become really popular post-release worldwide and amassed a large player base over time. An official comment from Google confirmed that the removal from the Play Store was a direct result of a government order.
Following this, the fan-favorite battle royale shooter BGMI has been banned from both the Google Play Store and the App Store. The article talks about the response from Krafton after the game was taken down from Google Play Store and Apple App store.

BGMI Ban: Krafton responds
Google had initially released a statement, “On receipt of the order, following established process, we have notified the affected developer and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India.”
The Battlegrounds Mobile India app was removed by Google from the Play Store shortly after the PUBG Mobile, also known as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was banned from the country as well due to several reasons. The mobile version of the game is pretty engaging and provides a fun experience.
Krafton has also confirmed the development and said in an official statement, “We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from Google Play store and the App store and will let you know once we get specific information.”
As the statement suggests, it seems Krafton was intimated about this ban but the statement made by Krafton suggests that they will be discussing this issue with the respective officials. It is also possible the Krafton officials will be hosting a meeting with MeitY and government officials regarding this ban order and their response will decide the fate of BGMI in India.
Players have their fingers crossed that this will not be the same situation as in 2020 when PUBG Mobile was banned, and the entire ecosystem suffered as a result. The CEO of Krafton India had announced that the registrations for this year’s BGIS will commence from July 28th but it seems to have a changed fate.
However, it is still playable on Android and iOS phones for those who had already downloaded the game on their devices but its abrupt removal has alerted several players and BGMI eSports professionals.
