Bloodborne is an action-adventure role-playing game, developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was originally released in March 2015 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. It received a lot of positive reviews with fans praising the game for its outstanding gameplay and design. It was also nominated for “Game of the Year” at the Game Awards in 2015 and won the “Best Game Design” award at the 12th British Academy Games Award.

Bloodborne is played from a third-person perspective and allows players to control a customizable character known as a “Hunter”. The game is set in a  Victorian-era–inspired city of Yharnam where players must battle various enemies and bosses while interacting with NPCs as they progress through the story. The enemies in the game are the citizens of Yharnam who have turned into horrific beasts due to a blood-borne disease. The game’s combat is focused around the use of “trick weapons” that can change into alternate states, each state encourages a different approach to combat.

The rumors for Bloodborne coming to PC and PS5 have been floating around the internet for quite some time. The game has received a lot of love from fans and sold more than 1 million copies in 2015 itself. Following its huge success many players wanted the game to be ported to different platforms, however, it hasn’t happened yet. The rumors of a PC port of Bloodborne died out after news of problems with the game’s developers surfaced in August 2022.

However, the rumors started circulating again after a PlayStation insider Colin Moriarty teased Bloodborne during the Sacred Symbols podcast. You haven’t seen the last of Bloodborne, I’ll tell you that.” Colin teased during the podcast’s 200th episode discussing the 25 best games on the PlayStation 4. The latest news about Bloodborne being released on the PS5 and PC comes from Twitter user Rinothebouncer. He tweeted out announcing that the game was coming to PS5 and PC, however, the release date for it will only be announced during the next PlayStation showcase.

Fans have been waiting for the game to be released on different platforms ever since the game was exclusively released on the PlayStation 4 in 2015. With the news of it release being confirmed, fans highly anticipate the game to be as good as the original.
