Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Pre-load begins on 14 September for PS4 and PS5 users who have pre-ordered. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has been heavily hyped up by Activision, and has the fans highly anticipating the release of the new game. Serving as the sequel to Modern Warfare 1, this game will certainly have high expectations.
Modern Warfare 1 was a huge hit and could be one of the fan favorites in the Call of Duty series. Now we have the sequel in Modern Warfare 2 coming out soon, with Pre-Load beginning on September 14, which is tomorrow! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Begins Pre-Load on Wednesday, With Open Beta Rewards Announced by Activision as Well
It’s been a big week for Call of Duty as the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta kicks off on PlayStation this Friday. Activision has announced details about the beta release, including the initial details about the pre-load. Pre-loading will begin on Wednesday, September 14th at 10:00am PT / 1:00pm ET for PlayStation members. Activision will be providing a lot more clarity in their highly anticipated event on September 15, called ‘Call of Duty Next’.
To acquire the code needed, you must either pre-order Modern Warfare 2 or acquire it in another way to receive the code. Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer client file size has not been announced, but will be revealed soon. The Modern Warfare 2 Beta will be available to all users on PlayStation on September 18-20, with exclusive early access to those who pre-ordered on September 16-17. Xbox and PC players will be able to join in the following weekend, and pre-orders will open first. There will be an open beta for everyone on all platforms from September 24th to 26th.

Besides announcing the pre-load date for MW2, Activision has a number of rewards lined up for you to participate in the upcoming beta test. Progress in the Open Beta doesn’t carry over across the game, but the Beta will unlock rewards that will be available when Modern Warfare 2 launches in October. Additionally, players can use the same in Warzone 2. These rewards are for beta testing only and can be unlocked by leveling up in the game. Therefore, players must reach level 30 to unlock all in-game rewards.

- Charm: “Buckle Up”: Unlocks at Operator Level 4
- Player Cards: “Passed the Test”: Unlocks at Operator Level 6

- Weapon Blueprint: “Side Impact”: Unlocks at Operator Level 15
- Operator Skin: “Collision”: Unlocks at Operator Level 18
- Vinyl: “No Competition”: Unlocks at Operator Level 19
- Sticker: “Safety First”: Unlocks at Operator Level 21
- Vehicle Skin: “Floor It”: Unlocks at Operator Level 26
- Weapon Blueprint: “Frontal Impact”: Unlocks at Operator Level 30
