“Challenge accepted” Logan Paul to fight Brazilian star Whindersson

Six months after his fight with legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather, YouTube personality Logan Paul appears to have accepted a boxing match with Brazilian comedian and musician Whindersson. Logan Paul is more than just a YouTube sensation. The social media sensation has now built a multi-+million-dollar NFT business, created his own sports drink, and even become a professional boxer.

His years-long conflict with rival creator KSI launched a new wave of influencer boxing, culminating in his fight with 50-0 boxing champion Floyd Mayweather last year. It’s been six months since his fight with Mayweather and six months since there’s been no news on when he’ll fight again… until he had an unexpected Twitter engagement with Brazilian celebrity Whindersson Nunes.

Paul tweeted a message in Portuguese on January 31, 2021, which translates to:

“Dear Whindersson, I accept your challenge. Keep training.”

Who is Whindersson and why exactly does he want to face Logan Paul?

Whindersson Nunes is a YouTuber, comedian, and musician from Brazil who is well known for his hilarious videos. In a recent exhibition match, the influencer faced former pro boxer Acelino Popo Freitas. Despite holding his own, Nunes sustained a very brutal cut as a result of his efforts, and the fight finished in a tie.

Logan Paul stepped in with his post after Nunes was pondering whether or not to continue his boxing career, and it appears that Nunes is up to about with one of YouTube’s biggest creators. If the two enter the ring, it will be Logan Paul’s fourth boxing contest, following his fights with Floyd Mayweather and KSI twice. Paul has a 0-2 record so far, with no official decision on his fight with Mayweather yet.

While it’s unclear when or where the Logan/Whindersson battle will take place, it wouldn’t be the first time Paul has been contacted for a fight recently; just a few days previously, AEW wrestler Britt Baker issued a challenge to Paul, which he has yet to answer to.
