Fortnite’s Big Bang event was a huge success and gave players a glimpse of what was coming. Epic Games has previewed three brand-new experiences coming to the game soon. These include Fortnite: Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and LEGO Fortnite, which was built in partnership with the LEGO group.
Introducing Fortnite Creative Mode into the game has shattered the ceiling for what was previously possible. Fans have been able to recreate worlds from other games in the famous battle royale, such as Call of Duty Zombies or Roblox Brookhaven RP. Epic Games is introducing a new game mode, Rocket Racing.
New Game Mode Rocket Racing Coming to Fortnite
According to Epic Games, Rocket Racing is a supersonic arcade racer. The cars look similar to the ones in Rocket League and share the same mechanics, such as being able to drift, fly, and boost. The cars are also seen performing other intricate Rocket League mechanics, such as air rolls and air dodges. The teaser also shows cars driving on the ceiling to avoid other vehicles.
Epic Games has promised that the mode will feature an ever-growing selection of tracks. Fans can probably expect Rocket Racing maps based on popular points of interest in the Fortnite map. The teaser for the mode shows a desert-themed map, which will be available at launch. Fortnite characters are seen diving from the sky as they land on various Rocket League cars, such as the Octane.
Fortnite characters sit atop cars as they race each other to the finish line. The cars race through waterfalls and intricate shortcuts to gain an advantage. You can also ram into other cars to throw them off and slow their progress. As you drive through the circuit, avoiding other cars, you must go through all checkpoints to complete the race.
The game is fully developed by the creators of Rocket League, Psyonix, owned by Epic Games. The developers will fully reveal the mode on December 7th at the Game Awards 2023. The game mode will then be added into the game the next day, on December 8th, 2023.
