Popular streamer Shroud has announced tragic news just recently. He took to Twitter to announce the unfortunate passing of his father after fighting a long battle with lung cancer. The shocking tragedy has engulfed a wavering number of supporters online during this hard time for the streamer.
According to the legendary gamer, his father had been battling lung cancer for months before his passing. His dad was the reason for his unwavering success and vital to his rise to fame, as he mentioned. Even Shroud getting into the FPS scene, a legendary move, was all because of Shroud’s father.
Shroud shared the unfortunate tragedy with his followers on August 12th. It was a very respectful decision, as such information is usually kept private by social media statistics; however, Shroud took the bravery to announce it the very next day on Twitter. Shroud announces his father’s death in an emotional tweet
On August 11th, the unfortunate incident took place. Michael Grzesiek revealed the following day, “I know I haven’t spoken publicly about it, but for the past few months my Dad had been battling lung cancer. Yesterday he passed away.” As fans would know, his father was a vital part of his success and had even made appearances on his streams before.
He added, “He always supported me, got me into gaming, and helped shape my love for games, specifically FPS. Rest in peace, papa shroud <3”. Fans may remember him from a stream he appeared on almost 7 years ago, where Shroud asked his father if he wanted to share anything with Polish fans watching.
His father, then in Polish, had said the following: “Thank you for watching him, applause for him because he’s good, and cheer for him”. Many have advocated for his charismatic and kind behavior. A user online who goes by ‘Just9n’ had replied to Shroud’s tweet, claiming he knew his father. He shared how he enjoyed his time with him and was a big fan of the guy.
