FIFA 23 is fast-approaching, with the game only a few weeks away from its launch and it is carrying plenty of hype with it. This means the FIFA 22 cycle will end in a few weeks as well, due to the release of FIFA 23. The new game is scheduled for release on September 30, and September 27 for those who have early access to the game.
FIFA 23 will have plenty of new features introduced in it. The game is highly anticipated and rightly so too. There are several new dimensions to the game, including the complete restructuring of certain interfaces in the game as well. The loan item structure in FUT 23 is one that needs to be understood too. How Does the New Loan System Work in FIFA 23?
First introduced in FUT 15, Loan Players are items that can be used in a limited number of matches. They can add that special quality to your team in some games and prove indispensable in important matches. This is why more and more people are using them. Loan player items are indicated by a blue circle in the lower right corner. The number in the circle indicates how many games you can play before the contract expires and the card can no longer be used.
These cards have some details that you should be aware of in FIFA 23:
Duplication
If you have acquired Loan Player Items that your club already owns, you do not need to transfer them. You can combine them into a single card with the sum of both contracts and keep one combined loan item.
Squad
You can play with multiple loan players at the same time. You can also own the last card of a loaner player and team, but you can only use one at a time.

Transfer Market
Rental player items cannot be sold. This means they cannot be found on the FUT Transfer Market. Trying to get rid of them will give you 0 coins. Also, you cannot use them to submit squad-building challenges.
Contract
As with any player card, when you use a loaned player you issue a contract. If he stays in Sub or Reserve, his loan term will not change. However, no contract can be applied to his card to extend the loan FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. When his contract expires, he becomes useless.
Consumables
With the exception of contracts, loan all other consumables for his player work fine, but are mostly wasted due to their limited availability.
