A new SBC has arrived in FIFA 23
Fans can now acquire one of the highly sought-after Marvel cards in FIFA 23 thanks to EA Sports’ release of the much awaited FIFA World Cup Heroes Upgrade SBC in Ultimate Team. Due to their extraordinary powers and chemistry uses, these Hero cards are some of the most powerful and sought-after cards in the game.
Leakers teased the pack ahead of time, building anticipation for the release. The Marvel versions of these Hero cards were available in packs for a brief period of time and gave their base versions some great benefits, so it’s not surprising that they were popular.

In FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, EA Sports and Marvel collaborated to offer enhanced World Cup versions of a few iconic footballers. The cards were unveiled during the World Cup’s opening ceremonies. These versions not only have improved characteristics, but they also have unique dynamic visuals that show them as Marvel superheroes.
Requirements to complete the FIFA World Cup Heroes Upgrade SBC:
- Players with a minimum OVR of 87: Minimum three
- Team overall rating: Minimum 86
- Number of players in the Squad: 11
The transfer market’s increased cost of highly regarded fodder cards is primarily responsible for the SBC’s anticipated total cost of about 120,000 FUT coins. The buzz around the debut of a popular SBC in FUT drives up the cost of fodder cards, making these challenges more expensive than they would otherwise be.
The SBC itself is rather inexpensive in the long run, despite the demanding and expensive specifications. Only eight cards, or less than half of all FUT World Cup Heroes, are more expensive than the SBC. Additionally, there’s always a chance that a player will strike it with luck and acquire one of the expensive elite-tier cards, like Yaya Toure or Claudio Marchisio, which each sell for millions of coins.

During the most recent World Cup Phenoms promotion of FIFA 23, several fans also opened their reward packs from World Cup Swaps, and they will have filled their clubs with top-tier untradeable cards to use in SBCs like these. Despite becoming pricey, this SBC is one worth completing in FIFA 23.
