The League of Legends Worlds 2022 finals has concluded, and DRX was the player to ultimately finish the run that began all the way in the play-in stage, and win the League of Legends Worlds 2022 title. T1 and DRX battled it out in a thrilling five-game series, but it was the latter team that ultimately prevailed.
The award also ensures that Deft, one of the all-time great players, will receive his due. But this victory wasn’t only about Deft; it also involved Zeka, Pyosik, Beryl, and Kingen, who gave it their best and overcame all obstacles to turn this goal into a reality.

DRX Crowned as Champions at the League of Legends Worlds 2022 Finals
DRX showed incredible resilience, mental toughness, and discipline even when the situation appeared hopeless. This group was genuinely world champions because these guys never flinched under duress.
An emotional moment between former teammates Keria and Deft was captured after the conclusion of the finals as well. Both the players were seen crying and hugging each other in what was clearly an emotional moment for both of them.
Keria was formerly on DRX with Pyosik and Deft. He promised Deft he would be there to support him give him a World’s trophy before retiring. When Keria got an offer to join T1, he was hesitant because he wanted to play with Deft. Deft told Keria he should play for the best team he could. It can now be seen as to why emotions ran high today.

League of Legends Worlds 2022 champion DRX has just raised the trophy, but it wasn’t an easy journey. The team, representing South Korea as the fourth seed, just about made it into Worlds 2022. When it comes to power rankings, DRX was ranked third or fourth by every fan and pundit in the world.
To win the title, they had to defeat groups like Top Esports, EDG, RNG, Gen.G, and T1. It makes sense that no one in the world placed a wager on DRX as a result. In fact, DRX had not defeated T1 at all in the year prior to the Worlds 2022 Finals.
But when it mattered, they triumphed and produced a tale that will be told for years to come. Because of this, the team’s victory can be considered the greatest underdog tale in League of Legends, and arguably all of esports history.
