Fortnite has been using the same weapons for a considerably long time. With only a few weapons un-vaulted and re-vaulted in a loop, the game’s weaponry selection has been getting increasingly stale. Fans have drawn this to the attention of the developers, and hence the entire weaponry selection is set to undergo a drastic change, with a host of new weapons set to be added to the game.

The following are set to be added in Chapter 4 Season 1 of the game:

  • Attachable Assault Rifle: Base
  • Attachable Assault Rifle: Attached
  • Attachments: Extended Mag, Medium Scope, Silencer

These weapons are also set to have their own features, as is customary for most Fortnite weapons:

  • Attachable Assault Rifle: Attached (Heat) after 5 eliminations, attachable AR will be able to burn buildings & enemy players.
  • Attachable Smg: Attached (Frost)after 5 eliminations, attachable SMG will be able to slow down enemy players.

However, the full extent of the power of these weapons will only be found once they are released in the game.

Fortnite set to un-vault two new weapons in Chapter 3 Season 5

The MK-7 and Striker are the chosen two weapons that Fortnite has decided to bring back after huge community unrest. One of those is an SLG and the other a shotgun, thereby varying the type of the weapons. While fans are not exactly thrilled about the gun selection, they will have to make do with what they get, at least in the initial parts of the game. If Fortnite gets a positive reaction from this, they are more likely to un-vault several other guns later on.

These new weapons come after a lot of the old favorites, such as the Lightsaber and Pumpkin launcher were vaulted recently along with the Pulse Rifle. The mechanics of the game are already set for an overall, so it should not surprising to find the developers experimenting a bit to try and find out what actually works in the game. Overall, therefore, this can turn out to be quite an interesting selection of guns if these new weapons are directly included in the game.
