Fortnite Crime Boss Midas is set for one of the most highly anticipated returns within the game, especially after Fortnite teased its latest event Fracture as the final event for Chapter 3 of the game. This enigmatic character was an integral part of the game lore for the majority of Chapter 2, so it is only logical to bring this fan-favorite waistcoat-wearing syndicate leader back into the game.

In terms of the lore, Midas was the Mythic boss In The Agency and was the mastermind responsible for the Doomsday Device and the live event of the previous season. Midas’ plan to control the storm, however, failed as he was stopped by The Imagined Order at the end of Chapter 2 Season 2 and was last seen in Chapter 2 Season 3’s trailer which showed him apparently being eaten by a shark, but there is a fan theory that this was his plan from the beginning and he is set to make a heroic return to defeat the Herald.

Fortnite is well known to add Easter eggs within the game to hype up the fans about upcoming events and character releases. The return of Midas is therefore backed by the return of the Gold and Silver sprays within the market, which can once again be accessed by the community. Although Midas’ return has not been confirmed officially, fans believe that it is only a matter of time before Midas is finally announced, along with the new event Fracture or in Chapter 3 Season 5 update.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5 has been scheduled to be released on December 5, with the server having a huge downtime of around 12-18 hours. This update is probably going to be the final update of the year before Chapter 4 Season 1 is introduced, and fans are excited about the fan changes to the game before the developers revamp almost everything that they know within the game.

As usual, the new update will feature a new battle pass, although the rewards are yet to be revealed. Along with the new Battle Pass, there will be changes to the current map Artemis, before the players are finally made to shift to a new map in the next chapter of the game. Since the theme of the resistance war is continuing, this will bring an end to the theme and re-introduce a different battle theme in terms of the lore at the onset of the new Chapter. It will be interesting to find out what changes the developers make to bring back Midas into the lore.
