Clinger is an Uncommon and Rare, Epic (Spy Games only) explosive weapon in Battle Royale that sticks to whatever it touches, including players. This explosive weapon cannot explode in the air. . An unusual-looking grenade, the Clinger works by sticking to the first thing it hits and then detonating three seconds later.
The Clinger is very effective at close range. Once it sticks on an opponent, there is no way for him/her to remove it, and he/she will be most likely doomed to be eliminated or KO’d, due to the Clinger dealing massive damage to its target. Even if the player misses, he/she can still lure an opponent to the Clinger as it explodes.
Fortnite Clingers only appear as part of the general loot pool, so there aren’t any specific locations you can go to and be guaranteed to find them. So, players can find them in any Chests, Rare Chests, Supply Drops, or Floor Loot.
If a player is hit by a Clinger, he/she can bring down opponents with him/her by running right near them just before it explodes. Players who successfully stick a Clinger need to stay away from their target to avoid getting blown up themselves.
Players may even be able to spot a Clinger on a roof when dropping on the POI. Clingers can also be directly attached to players for tons more damage. Players need to deal at least 100 damage to make the quest complete.
