Explosive Weapons are a type of weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. The purpose of these weapons is for a variety of different ranged combat. All Explosive Weapons use Rocket Ammo, except for the Party Royale Paint Launcher, which uses exclusive Paint ammo, Recycler, which uses Junk Ammo sucked up from the local environment, and Plasma Cannon which uses Plasma Ammo.
The Rocket Launcher is one of the oldest weapons in Fortnite and it is very straightforward to use. Players used this weapon to break builds and create pressure on the opponents. Moreover, the AOE damage of this weapon often caught enemies off-guard and one-shot them into the ground.
Explosives drop in stacks of 3 with a maximum stack size of 6 and can be found in Chests, Supply Drops, Supply Llamas and Vending Machines. Explosions can be found in front of the dumpster located just to the south of the main road leading into Dirty Docks. The second can be found near the shipping containers in the southern part of Dirty Docks near, again, a dumpster.
Explosive Weapons fill the role of a variety of different weapon ranges, depending on which explosive weapon is being used and for what purpose. All explosive weapons deal Splash Damage, meaning that from where the projectile lands, there will be a small spherical radius surrounding which will also deal damage.
Explosive Weapons excel in Structure Damage, and many of them have different statistics for player versus structure damages. Players are also able to hurt themselves with Explosive Weapons, which limits their close-range capabilities.
