Fortnitemares 2022 in Fortnite was supposed to be the flagship event of the year, intended to leave the competition in the dust. The Chrome Punk player skin was up for grabs, in case the players were able to complete all of the quests during the event, and an abundance of player materials that could be gathered by completing these quests. Skins such as DJ Lyka with various special abilities were also present, with the Wolfscent ability for tracking and air slash ability as the offensive.
The Horde Rush event made its return this year in Fortnite, which could be played along with friends to earn combos and survive to finally take down the ultimate boss. This update also released new NPC skins such as the Inkquisitor and tired to make the gameplay more interactive, along with certain fun quests like flying the chicken. However, the primary problem with this entire game was its glitches and the bad decision-making by its developers.

For one, the developers decided to remove the special abilities of certain characters into the second week of the event, preventing players from completing quests that ultimately led to handing out the pickaxe skin for free. Within the game as well, there were glitches with players who bought skin placks like the Saint Academy quest pack, and overall, failed to provide a smooth gameplay experience to the community. The final day brought on the Rick and Morty Collaboration, however, once again poor planning and lack of time led to the downfall of this event.
The intentions, therefore, were good, with the introduction of the Knowby Cabin and other locations, however, the execution was bad to the ground. This led to ugly backlash from the community who were expecting much more from the game when the trailer was first released.

Is Stranger Things coming to Fortnite?
The Creative mode in Fortnite is supposedly giving the vibes of Upside Down in the show, with a large house ahead of the players, appearing similar to the Creel House. Grandfather clocks make a return this season, and one is present in front of the Fortnite Creative Hub as well. Christmas Lights are already a Joyce Butler reference, with the house having the same patterns.
This will, however, not be the first time that such a collaboration has taken place since Chief Hopper was introduced in Chapter 1 Season 9. There were special weapons available in-game as part of the previous collaboration. But this time around, nothing has officially been confirmed. However, it has been widely speculated that the new chapter might bring on the Stranger Things collaboration, since Fortnite is well known to add easter eggs within the game to tease its community.
