Fortnite Battle Royale players may receive more free V-Bucks soon, following Epic Games’ release of a number of cosmetic items that were previously available for free in the Item Shop. In August 2022, Epic Games launched a collaboration with Dragon Ball Super, bringing a range of anime-themed cosmetic items to the popular video game, including four anime characters.

As part of the Power Unleashed event, players could also earn a number of free cosmetics, including the Shenron glider, by completing various challenges. However, on December 30, 2022, Epic Games made the glider available for purchase in the Item Shop, along with other free cosmetics including the Dragon Radar back bling and two emotes. This has led to speculation that Epic Games may refund players with free V-Bucks, although this is not confirmed.

It is important to note that these free items were never intended to be exclusive, with Epic Games stating on its official blog that “the in-game rewards Dragon Radar Back Bling and Shenron Glider are not exclusive to Power Unleashed and may be available later in the Item Shop for purchase.”

As such, it is unlikely that Epic Games will feel obligated to refund players with free V-Bucks. The company is currently on a break until January 3, 2023, and if a refund were to occur, it is more likely to happen in the second week of 2023 or when Epic releases a new update for Fortnite Battle Royale.

In August 2022, Epic Games released a collaboration with Dragon Ball Super for its popular video game, Fortnite. This collaboration brought numerous cosmetic items to the game, including four anime characters. Alongside these items, Epic Games also released a number of free cosmetics that players could earn by participating in the Power Unleashed event. The most valuable reward offered as part of this event was the Shenron glider.

To unlock the glider, players had to collect seven Dragon Balls, which required the completion of various quests across different categories. However, on December 30, 2022, Epic Games made the glider available for purchase in the Item Shop, along with other free cosmetics including the Dragon Radar back bling and two emotes. This has led to speculation that the company may refund players with free V-Bucks, although this has not been confirmed.

Players can purchase the Shenron glider and other free cosmetics from a bundle that costs 2,300 V-Bucks, or they can be obtained separately, with the glider being the most expensive option. Despite the speculation, it is worth noting that these free items were never intended to be exclusive, and it is unclear if Epic Games will feel obligated to provide players with free V-Bucks.
