Genshin Impact 3.0 update: New characters, weapons and everything explored in livestream

Genshin Impact Sumeru 3.0 update

Aether or Lumine will soon be able to set their foot upon Sumeru and that too without completing any special quest such as the case in Inazuma. The special program hosted yesterday revealed a plethora of content prepared for the Genshin Impact 3.0 update which is going to be released in late August, as confirmed by the developers.

Even though it was announced that the duration of the patch will be reduced by a week, there is no dearth of content as players can get 3 new characters as well as weapons in the Genshin Impact 3.0 update.

Everything new in Genshin Impact 3.0 update

The livestream hosted yesterday provided players with 3 special promo codes that helped the players to claim 300 primogems as well as other resources such as Hero’s Wit and Mora which are crucial for character and weapon building. Certain members from HoYoverse also narrated the new content.

First things first, the first batch of Sumeru characters were introduced in the Genshin Impact 3.0 update. In this patch, players will be able to see one new 5-star character and two new 4-stars out of which two characters possess the Dendro vision and another uses the Electro element. The characters are mentioned below-

Tighnari (Dendro)
Collei (Dendro)
Dori (Electro)

New weapons

In addition to the characters, two new weapons will be seen in this patch. While the Hunter’s Path and End of the Line are 5-star and 4-star weapons respectively, there are some new craft able weapons as well-

King’s Squire (Bow)
Sapwood Blade (Sword)
Moonpiercer (Polearm)
Forest Regalia (Claymore)
Fruit of Fulfilment (Catalyst)

New artifacts

As we are getting a new playable element in the Genshin Impact 3.0 update, it is no surprise that we will be getting some new artifacts as well. The new artifacts are-

Deepwood Memories- Helps to increase Dendro DMG as well as decrease the Dendro resistance of enemies when they are hit by the Elemental Skill and Burst of the active character

Gilded Dreams- This artifact will help to increase the elemental mastery of the characters which implies that the equipped character will obtain attack buffs based on the element of other party members

New Boss

Bosses are the high level enemies founded in some specific locations of Teyvat. With the release of Genshin Impact 3.0 update, players might have to encounter a new boss to claim new artifacts or resources.

Jadeplume Terrorshroom- It is a fungal beast found in the depths of Sumeru. This enemy wields the Dendro vision and provides fearsome attacks when it is present in its active state.
Electro Regisvine- To get the materials required to build Electro characters, Sumeru will bring the Electro Regisvine making it easy for players who found difficulty in defeating the Electro Hypostases.

Graven Innocence

The major event kept for the upcoming Genshin Impact 3.0 update is the Graven Innocence Event. This event will be divided into various challenges which will take place in the wilderness of Sumeru, hence providing players a chance to explore this new area as well as claiming primogems. The 4-star Dendro character Collei will be the reward for this event.

Fayz Trials

In this event, players can get some trial characters that do not require to be build additionally to defeat enemies in special domains. A consumable potion will be given to the players that increases the sharpness of their mind and help them to know the weakness of the enemies.

Tablet Analytics

Here players have to assist a researcher named Hajanad that is experimenting with her potent ‘Remelting Tablets’. With the help of these tablets, players can get advantage in combat which will be given in different rounds. Certain trial characters will also be given to the players.

Lost Riches

Last but not the least, players will meet Ulman again in the Lost Riches event where they can work with his mini Seelie to find treasure through Ulman’s map. This event will not only provide primogems but a mini seelie as well that will become a companion of the Traveler.

Character event wishes

Phase 1

The first phase of Genshin Impact 3.0 update will add the banners of Tighnari and Zhongli. While Tighnari is a new character, Zhongli is getting his third rerun in the game. The 4-star character present in this banner will be Collei, a character who uses the bow as her weapon.

Phase 2

The characters kept for the second phase of this update were quite surprising as they were not related to the story. Nevertheless, players will be able to wish on the banners of Ganyu and Kokomi, 5-star characters using the Cryo and Hydro element respectively. Dori, the new Electro 4-star will be present on their banner.

The special music for Sumeru concluded the livestream program yesterday. Now, players should wait for the 3.0 update to be available on Google Play Store and App Store.
