Genshin Impact fans are unhappy with the developers

Genshin Impact has completed two years of its release and has added a lot of content and characters since then. While players are quite happy on the new regions and characters being introduced, one thing still irks them.

This concern is nothing but the lack of combat focused content in the game as right now, players can only test out the abilities of the characters they are building in Spiral Abyss which brings the almost same content in every patch.

The Genshin Impact community is quite active when it comes on demanding more content in the game, pointing out the existing character bugs etc.  Fans were quite frustrated when they saw such less rewards being provided on the game’s first anniversary but now they are concerned about the game being dead as there is dearth of content.

During a recent interview with GameSpot, HoYoverse answered several questions including the most asked one by the fans i.e. the addition of more Spiral Abyss-like content. Spiral Abyss can be called as the ‘endgame’ content of the game as it provides the toughest challenges to the players.

For players sitting at high Adventure Ranks, there is not much to grind for except building characters to get their best performance during Spiral Abyss. As a consequence, they have time and again expressed their wish to get gameplay modes that test out their combat skills.

While HoYoverse has not officially addressed the issue so far, they gave a slight hint on their upcoming plans in the GameSpot interview. Following a set of several questions, the developers were asked to give their plans on more endgame content, to which they replied-

"The Spiral Abyss is one of the most effective ways for players to test out their party compositions and combat strength. If we design another type of permanent endgame that is similar to the Spiral Abyss, it might end up creating excessive anxiety for our payers- not everyone is interested in Musk Reef."

This clearly implies that the developers have currently no plans in mind to develop endgame content like Spiral Abyss, the statement made by the officials was not taken positively in the community as fans were more interested in getting combat focused gameplay modes.

Fans express their annoyance on the statement

Several content creators of Genshin Impact have pointed out that the real anxiety to any player comes from not being able to farm enough resins on time or losing 50/50 pity on the character and weapon banners.

As HoYoverse takes the opinion of their fans in consideration, we cannot rule out the possibility of the developers adding Spiral Abyss-like content in the game. Fans should wait for more official announcements in the upcoming patches.
