As mentioned by the leaks before, the 3.1 update of Genshin Impact has brought back the Hyakunin Ikki event allowing players to switch between trial characters in order to receive an efficient method of combat.

HoYoverse had confirmed the event’s addition during the special program of the ongoing patch, but it was only yesterday that Travelers were provided with the release date of this event along with the gameplay details.

The Hyakunin Ikki rerun is the second event of the ‘King Deshret and the Three Magi’ update, as the flagship event ‘Of Ballads and Brew’ set in Monstadt is already going on right now. As we head close to the second phase, bringing Nilou on the banner with Albedo, players can be assured of a steady flow of primogems.

As announced by the officials, the Genshin Impact Hyakunin Ikki event for the 3.1 update will be released on 10th October. Players should complete the challenges and quests on time as the event will conclude on 24th October. As for the gameplay details, the officials have only provided a brief explanation considering that the event is having a rerun.

The event will unlock eventually with 6 different challenges, each possessing a different set of enemies for the players. The level of these enemies might be high but players need not worry, as they will be provided with some new trial characters that can be used with the existing ones for enhanced assistance during the event.

The Genshin Impact 3.1 update will also add a new combat method named Secret Arts in the Hyakunin Ikki rerun, to make fighting with enemies a lot more entertaining for the fans. Before jumping into the event, Travelers should remember to meet the following pre-requisites:

  • Adventure Rank 30 or above
  • Complete the Archon Quest “Ritou Escape Plan”

The Inazuman Archon Quest was introduced way before the Sumeru update and most of the players might already have completed the Quest which will not become a hindrance while playing the event. The Hyakunin Ikki event rerun in Genshin Impact will reward the players with primogems and weapon ascension materials, therefore, players should not miss the event at any cost.
