Genshin Impact is popular not only because of the large set of unique and powerful characters facing equally wrathful enemies but the extensive region that consists of endless artifacts and resources required to build the characters. After the Traveler sets his/her foot upon Monstadt, one of the great nations in Teyvat, he slowly unlocks other regions such as Liyue and Inazuma. The latter region became extremely popular on its release and players now await for the unreleased regions such as Sumeru.

List of unreleased regions in Genshin Impact Teyvat

The continent of Teyvat is home to 7 great nations, each famous for their elements and gods ruling over them. Out of the 7 regions, only 3 can be accessed by the players, however, MiHoYo also confirmed that some bits of released regions such as Monstadt are yet to be explored by the players.

Sumeru

Sumeru worships the unreleased element, Dendro. Players have high expectations from the new element which will apparently be released once the Sumeru nation is available in the game. Some previous references to Sumeru informed us that the nation is covered with huge trees and natural vegetation. It’s release date is expected to be announced this year as it can come around 3.0 update.

Fontaine

The young oceanid, Endora has referred to Fontaine several times while interacting with the traveler and Paimon. The nation worships the Hydro Archon, God of Justice. An NPC from Liyue, Francis recalls his native place, Fontaine as a place that revers beauty and elegance. Fontaine is most likely to be released in 2023.

Natlan

Natlan worships the Pyro Archon, Murata. As revealed by Dainsleif in the Teyvat storyline, players will land here to complete Archon Quest Chapter V: Incandescent Ode of Resurrection. From Genshin Impact lore, it has been known that Natlan takes its inspiration from the Indigenous America with some touches of the West African culture. Natlan’s release is expected on 2024.

Snezhnaya

The Chasm

Celestia

Celestia is another mysterious region that has only been heard of in Genshin Impact manga. It is considered as the abode of gods and those humans that performed heavenly acts during their survival. Celestia is a floating island that can be only viewed from certain locations in the game.

Dark Sea

The last region to be explored by the travelers might be the Dark Sea, although, it is not known whether this region will be released for the players or not. The Dark Sea goes beyond the continent of Teyvat and it is believed that gods who were defeated in the Archon War fled in this region.
