Yelan in Genshin Impact
As the beta phase of the 2.7 update is nearing its end, several leaks surrounding the upcoming characters such as Yelan in Genshin Impact have been coming forward. This leaked information either reveal the set of nerfs or buffs provided to the characters or any changes in their elemental abilities.
Yelan’s kit was leaked by some reliable data miners and players now have almost a complete information on what can Yelan perform at the battlefield with her Hydro elemental powers. Several fans have even called Yelan in Genshin Impact Xingqiu 2.0.

Is Yelan in Genshin Impact the better version of Xingqiu
Yelan is a very mysterious character as compared to Kuki Shinobu who has been mentioned in several voice lines, Yelan has not got much exposure in the game which makes the players ardently waiting to get their hands on the member of Ministry of Civil Affairs.
As per the 2.7 leaks, Yelan in Genshin Impact will apparently be the first banner of the upcoming patch followed by Kuki Shinobu in the second phase. She is going to be a Hydro-sword user whose signature weapon Aqua Simulacra was also revealed by the data miners. Viewing her gameplay, many fans have termed her as the 5-star Xingqiu or Xingqiu 2.0 as the character feels lot like him.
Xingqui is a 4-star Hydro character whereas Yelan is a 5-star character with the same element. Even though, the weapons use by them are completely different, both of the characters excel in Hydro application. Xingqiu’s elemental skill help him to provide Hydro DMG with his sword whereas Yelan can mark her enemies and provide the damage.
However, their primary damage comes off with their Elemental Burst as Xingqiu can rain down Hydro swords on the enemies whereas Yelan can bring a lot of Hydro DMG in a certain AoE. As both the characters can be great Hydro supports and even DPS if built properly, it led several Travelers to call Yelan as the better version of Xingqiu.
The ascension materials of Yelan in Genshin Impact is already available in the 2.6 update, therefore, players can start pre-farming for the character from the current update. The Hydro character’s release is expected around the first week of May, therefore, players can get a lot of time for farming the materials.
