The talk of GM Hikaru switching streaming platforms from Twitch to Kick have been cleared up following the Twitter post from last night. It had been speculated that GM Hikaru would be leaving Twitch for Kick as one of their 6 “mystery signings”. This speculation was quickly cleared out by GM Hikaru on his recent tweet.

The Chess Mastermind, Christopher Hikaru Nakamura or more commonly known as GM Hikaru is a 5-time United States Chess Champion . He has amassed a massive following of 1.8 million followers on the Amazon’s streaming platform, Twitch. It was recently brought to light that one of the biggest chess streamers on Twitch, GM Hikaru had been signed by Kick as one of their 6 “mystery signings”. In a recent tweet from him, he stated that he would be streaming on both platforms moving forward and was not completely abandoning Twitch. Many chess enthusiasts were not happy with his decision of joining the streaming platform, Kick and were expressing their displeasure in the comments.

However, now, Hikaru has made it clear that he will not be abandoning Twitch completely. Instead, he will be streaming on both platforms. However, according to his statements, it seems like he will focus more on Kick streaming than the Amazon-owned platform.

Dr. DisRespect to be another one of Kick’s mystery signings?

Trainwrecktv’s fairly new streaming platform Kick has quickly growing as a strong contender in the streaming industry. They are signing major streamers, getting more user friendly tools to help viewers and content creators alike to ease themselves into the platform. In a recent Twitter post, former Twitch streamer, Adin Ross, said that Kick has a “Mega Superstar Signing ” lined up. Many people on Twitter have been speculating that this “Mega Superstar” could be Dr DisRespect. These speculations were started because Doc is not bound by any contracts to any streaming platforms or companies at present. However the big superstar signing turned out to be GM Hikaru.

With major streamers like Adin Ross, Buddha and GM Hikaru joining Trainwrecktv’s new streaming app Kick on a non-exclusive contract, we can only speculate about who is gonna be the next big signing for Kick. Asmongold,was also rumored to have been signed by Kick but he shows no signs of interest on the move. Dr. DisRespect has neither confirmed nor denied his move to Kick, so fans can only wait for what he has planned for now.
