GTA Online is set to receive a massive content update this week, which will see fan favourites Franklin, Lamar, and Chop return in ‘The Contract’. With fans eager to see what the GTA V protagonist has been up to since 2013, we’ve put together the official release date and time for the big update.

The Contract also features American Rapper, Dr. Dre, who previously made an appearance in The Cayo Perico Heist back in 2020. But it looks like the artist will be a much more prominent figure in the upcoming GTA Online update, as Franklin and Lamar are tasked with the job of finding Dr. Dre’s stolen phone.

The official release date for the next GTA Online update, The Contract, is Wednesday, December 15th, 2021. Although an official release time for ‘The Contract’ update hasn’t been announced by Rockstar Games, new GTA Online updates always arrive at 2AM PT / 5AM ET / 10AM GMT.

Is ‘The Contract’ A Free Update?

Yes, The Contract is a completely free content update for GTAOnline. As long as you own Grand Theft Auto V, the update will be made available to you on release the next time you log into GTA Online.
