The Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was released way back in November 2021. It is the collection of Rockstar Games’ 3 iconic GTA installments. The trilogy includes the remastered version of GTA Vice City, GTA 3. And last but definitely not the least and in fact, the 2nd best GTA game ever made, GTA San Andreas. GTA Trilogy is currently only available on the Rockstar Games store. The Trilogy’s unavailability on the Steam or Epic Games Store has been an issue because players keep their collection on these platforms only.

But there’s great news for all these players. It has been leaked by a fan on Twitter that GTA Trilogy might be coming to different platforms. Rockstar Games has not yet made any announcements regarding the release of this remaster on the Epic Games Store. Steam was not mentioned by the leaker, but, GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition has previously mentioned both Steam and the Epic Games Store in its files.

Its extremely rough launch may be the reason there doesn’t seem to have been much anticipation for the Definitive Edition’s release in other stores.

Bilbillbil-Kun, a reliable leaker has reported that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be available to buy in Epic Games Store on 19 January at 4 PM UTC. It will also be at a 50% discount for the first week.

The tweet only mentions the Epic Games Store and not Steam. A user asked about it and billbil-kun told him that he currently doesn’t know about it but probably it will hit Steam too.

The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition received its last patch on 18 October 2022. There are still many bugs in the remastered version. Fans are hoping that these bugs to be fixed when the GTA trilogy comes to the Epic Games store and Steam. Dealing with review bombing will be an important issue for Rockstar Games on Steam. Players can see the reviews of games on Steam.

If some players review-bombed the remaster as they did on Metacritic, then it will be a tough road for the GTA trilogy. The game’s average user score on Metacritic ranges from 0.6 to 0.9 out of 10, which is very bad. Some GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition players are hopeful that after the ports are made available, the game will receive some critical improvements.
