Grand Theft Auto 5 just last week completed its 10-year anniversary. This game has made countless fans and made a lot of selling records throughout its journey. However, now fans were also eagerly waiting for the next instalment of the franchise, GTA 6. In February 2022, Rockstar Games officially confirmed that they are actively working on GTA 6, but didn’t reveal the release date. Later that year, someone leaked a huge amount of unfinished GTA 6 footage pushing the release date.

However, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the company behind Rockstar Games, has hinted that GTA 6 will be released in 2024 or 2025. Still, fans have been buzzing about GTA 6. So to calm these fans, on the occasion of 10-year anniversary of GTA 5, Micheal De Santa from the story mode himself shared a message for the fans. Ned Luke who gave voice to Micheal asked fans to hold their horses and calmly wait for the next instalment.

The voice actor’s contribution to GTA V has been praised by the whole GTA community. So much so, that he recently posted a picture of a fan’s heartfelt message on Instagram. However, a fan’s comment and Ned’s reply to this comment under the post raised the curiosity of fans about the long-awaited GTA 6.

Micheal’s voice actor Ned Luke asks to wait calmly for GTA 6

Under his post, a user under the name (adam_rusnack28), had written a comment urging for the release of GTA 6. He had expressed deep emotions for getting backlash as GTA 5 fans who await the release of the next version, yet do not get updated. However surprisingly, Ned Luke replied to his comment and wrote, “gonna be worth the wait”.

Later, Ned made a TikTok video thanking fans for the humongous success of GTA 5. Later in the video, he goes on to address the GTA 6 too. He said, “We just crossed the threshold of 10 years. 10 years of GTA 5… I just want to give a big shout-out to the fans. Only what, maybe five of those years was ‘Where the f*** is GTA 6?’ Patience guys. It’ll be worth the wait. Trust me. GTA 5 was worth the wait, GTA 6 is gonna be even more worth the wait.”

When GTA 5 was released on September 17, 2013, it had reportedly made 800 million dollars in hours. Moreover, in 3 days it made a record-breaking billion dollars. However, Ned Luke, in a different post claimed that “Six will blow those numbers”.

Being the GTA 5’s voice actor, Ned might have had exclusive access behind the scenes, as fans can also remember him from a cameo voice appearance on another Rockstar Games major release. Ned ended the video with his iconic Micheal De Santa Dialogue, “You forget a thousand things every day how about you make sure this is one of them“. It has not been confirmed however if he has a role in GTA 6 as of now. Yet he had also given more insight into the game during speculations of the success of GTA 6.
