Within the first quarter of a year since its release, the Harry Potter-based game capturing a market worth $850 million was news in itself. Warner Bros’ decades-old franchise took the shape of a game and made history continuing the successful saga of the “Harry Potter” series.

According to the game developers, the game surpassed their expectations and sold 256% more than what it was supposed to do in the first place. Hogwarts Legacy now makes almost 10% of the total earnings of Warner Bros revenue. The game has topped the chart in both US games ranking and subsequently in the UK market as well.

Since the game has progressed to PS4 and is set to be released on Nintendo Switch shortly, the future looks quite promising for Hogwarts Legacy. Avalanche Software, which is an subsidiary of WB Games is the development partner of the game. According to Avalanche, the game success in market will continue to grow within the second quarter of the year.
