The Wizarding World is home to many majestic creatures. Hogwarts Legacy features 13 magical beasts. You will encounter these beasts on your wizarding journey. You can also catch and tame these creatures. You can take these beasts to the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement to get materials to upgrade your gear. Out of these 13 beasts, 12 can be found with stars.

These beasts are quite rare to find. They also have different colors than the normal variant. It is easier to get a normal beast, but challenging to get a beast with stars. They appear randomly; there is no way to predict when you may encounter them. Here’s the list of all the Beasts stars available in Hogwarts Legacy, along with methods to catch them.

As mentioned earlier, there are 12 beasts with stars.

  • Diricawl (Pale/White)
  • Fwooper (Pale/Albino)
  • Giant Purple Toad (Albino Purple)
  • Graphorn (Albino)
  • Hippogriff (Grey)
  • Jobberknoll (Pale)
  • Kneazle (Brownish-Gold/Yellow)
  • Mooncalf (White)
  • Niffler (Pale)
  • Puffskein (White)
  • Thestral (Silver/White)
  • Unicorn (Gold)

These have four different shiny variants: Adult Shiny (Male), Adult Shiny (Female), Offspring Shiny (Male), and Offspring Shiny (Female) (Female).

Now, to find the shiny beasts or beasts with stars in Hogwarts Legacy, you need to find a beast’s spawn location. The spawning of Shiny Beast is arbitrary and luck-based. When you reach the spawn location and save the game, check whether the beast has stars. You will see its gender sign and a star after its name. If you don’t see the beast with a star, move just outside the den’s line of sight, pull out the map, and keep waiting throughout the day and night. Once you’ve finished, save, then reload that save to spawn a new beast and raise the likelihood that it will be shiny. To discover a shiny beast, repeat this procedure for each den.

If you locate a shiny beast, capturing it is similar to catching a normal one, just a little harder. You will need a disillusionment spell to go closer to the beast. After that, cast the Levioso spell to trap the beast in the air. Now, cast the Nab-Sack spell to start catching the beast. Press the interact button once it is started. Shiny creatures frequently require several well-timed presses to tame. The beast will escape from Levioso if you press the button at the wrong time.
