How to get the Toukabou Shigure sword in Genshin Impact “Akitsu Kimodameshi” Event for free?

The flagship event of the 3.3 update is soon going to be available in Genshin Impact. This event brings a story quest for the Travelers as well as a free weapon which appears like an umbrella. However, the weapon’s appearance is quite spooky which might compel players to add it on their inventory.

As announced today, the ‘Akitsu Kimodameshi’ event is going to commence on December 15th and continue till January 2nd. Players need to hold Adventure Rank 30 or above if they wish to be a part of this event. Coupled with that, some quests need to be completed such as-

  • Ritou Escape Plan (part of Archon Quest: Chapter II: Act I)
  • Arataki Itto story quest (optional)

This event will bring two different challenges at the first, third and fifth days of the event- Leisurely Pastime (two) and Shatterdark (one). All challenges under Leisurely Pastime should be completed under the Playful Leisure difficulty level to unlock the Shatterdark challenges.

For obtaining the Toukabou Shigure sword in Genshin Impact for free, players just need to complete the challenges. On the other hand, if they wish to claim primogems, Crown of Insight and weapon ascension materials, they can do so by exchanging Courage Test Tickets (event-exclusive currency) at the event shop.

The 4-star sword in Genshin Impact provides a base DMG of 510 at the maximum ascension and provides an additional stat-elemental mastery of 165. The free weapon has an interesting passive skill as when the sword is inflicted on someone, the enemy will gain a Cursed Parasol for 10 seconds.

If players are able to take down the enemy within the Cursed Parasol duration, the CD effect of the weapon will refresh immediately. The damage dealt by the character will also increase by 16% when they are under the Cursed Parasol effect. Players can use these characters for this weapon-

  • Traveler (Dendro)
  • Kuki Shinobu
  • Kazuha

The Toukabou Shigure sword in Genshin Impact might not be one of the best free swords but players can consider using it with characters that are built on Elemental Mastery stats, if they wish to gain the full DMG affect through the weapon.

Another new weapon added in the 3.3 update is Scaramouche’s signature catalyst called the Tullaytullah’s Remembrance, which is obtainable through the Epitome Invocation or the weapon banner of the game that got renewed recently.
