“See you Feb 15”: Fan-favorite Infected mode confirmed to arrive in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 2

Players of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 should expect a significant event on February 15 as the Season 2 update prepares to release a bunch of new content. Players of Modern Warfare 2 will receive Ranked Play and a specific Hardcore playlist, but they were left feeling unsatisfied by the content that had been revealed in comparison to the variety of new features coming to Warzone 2 in Season 2.

However, it appears that could alter before the Season 2 update comes.  The Call of Duty team just stated that Infected will be released alongside the update for Modern Warfare 2 Season 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 developers confirm Infected will debut in Season 2

Fortunately, it appears like the Call of Duty team has some pleasant surprises in store, as they revealed that Infected will be added to Modern Warfare 2 along with the Season 2 update. The developers already made a huge amount of information about the update’s contents available, but it didn’t satisfy users, who thought it wouldn’t improve Modern Warfare 2’s current status.

As was already established, many franchise fans have expressed a strong desire for Infected. Regarding the Infected mode, one Twitter user @jasperozzy stated that it’s one of the best modes to play with buddies. Surprisingly, the official Call of Duty Twitter account replied to this tweet with the following statement: “We agree. See you Feb 15.”

The absence of modes in Modern Warfare 2 has been one of the game’s greatest criticisms from players. Players had been particularly outspoken about the disappearance of Gunfight, Gun Game, and Infected prior to the update. The developers appear to have taken the community’s reaction seriously, as they have confirmed that Infected will be released on February 15.

Although Infected in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 has received generally favorable responses, several players have reminded the developers that they would like to see additional party modes added to the game. Players clearly want more diversity, but we’ll have to wait and see whether new game modes make an appearance in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2.
