Claire Hope, also known as Lil Tay, became massively popular on social media and especially on Instagram as a “girl who simply enjoyed dancing.” At the age of 4, she started taking ballet lessons and competed in events at the Royal Ballet Academy. A report from TMZ, the famous media outlet, has claimed that Lil Tay is alive following the news of her supposed death. Rapper Lil Tay seems to be alive after a day of rumors and doubt. Following claims of her death based on a post the young rapper uploaded to her Instagram on August 9, TMZ reported that the rapper’s family issued a statement confirming she is safe. The statement given by the social media star is as follows:

“I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones, all while trying to sort out this mess.”

The Instagram post regarding her death with the caption “outcome was unexpected and has left us all in shock” was removed soon after this statement came out. Lil Tay further mentioned,

“My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong.”

This news has soothed fans and assured them of the good news regarding the star being alive. The star has mentioned how the last 24 hours have been traumatizing for her and her brother. Although fans are happy any uncertainty regarding the star’s death has been deemed redundant now. Some also claim that this misinformation has been intentionally spread by her parents following a dire custody battle the star is currently tangled into!
