Is Valorant Chinese server-exclusive “Kitana skin” coming to the global server?

Riot Games released Valorant globally in mid-2020. However, the Chinese government didn’t approve the release of the game in China due to strict policies. But finally, Tencent, the company that owns the majority shares of Riot Games, received approval for the release in December 2022. Chinese players can now get their hands on exclusive tier skins, such as the Arcane Sheriff, with the release of the game. Moreover, rumors suggest that the Kitana skin, which is supposedly exclusive to Chinese servers, may also be coming to global servers.

The release of Valorant in China has allowed the community to expand by leaps and bounds. Furthermore, with the game’s release in China, the Valorant Esports scene has expanded further. The Chinese teams that debuted during the VCT are dominating other long-standing teams on the list. There are a ton of amazing quality-of-life features on the Chinese servers that are not in other regions. Some of these features are weapon skins and in-game goodies, being exclusive to the server.

Right now, Riot Games is serving a buffet of old skin bundles exclusively to Chinese Valorant players. A lot of skins, like the Prime collection and Arcane Sheriff, are coming to China servers. Furthermore, there are also rumors that exclusive collections like the Champions collection will make their way to the servers. Moreover, rumors suggest that the global servers might receive a melee skin called Valorant Kitana Skin, which was originally exclusive to the Chinese server.

The Ignite Capsule Bundle includes the Kitana knife skin, which has a fan that is infused with flames. Its chroma is a mixture of purple and white, whereas its natural color is red with orange undertones. The last Fan-type melee skin that came to Valorant was the Equilibrium fan in 2022. Not only is this skin majestic looking but there’s also a scarcity of Fan-type melee weapon skins in Valorant.

China’s Valorant server initially made the skin exclusive after its launch. However, Riot Games has confirmed that this Chinese-server-exclusive skin is not exclusive anymore. As of right now, there are only 2 fan-type melee skins in the game. So, the Valorant Kitana skin coming to global servers is a good change of pace Players can expect the skin to be out, which fits perfectly with the release of the new Patch. However, the date has not been revealed yet.

With the craze for the unique animation type of the Arcane Sheriff, the Neo Frontier collection’s sheriff having the same animation had the player base hyped up. Similarly, fan-type melee skins are one of the weapon skins adored by players. So, the rumor of such an amazing-looking skin coming to global servers has stirred the fan base. Although this is still a rumor, we’ll have to wait till the release of the new patch or any official confirmation.
