The Ballon d’Or 2023 ceremony recently took place on October 30, 2023. The 67th annual award ceremony occurred at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France. The best football players in the world are attending the ceremony, such as Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappé. The event also featured some internet celebrities, such as IShowSpeed.

IShowSpeed arrived at the ceremony and streamed it live on his YouTube channel. With over 21 million subscribers on his channel, it is no surprise that the stream quickly garnered over 500,000 concurrent viewers. It is no secret that IShowSpeed has been a long-time fan of the Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, as he has said multiple times on his stream.

However, Ronaldo had not been nominated for this year’s prestigious award. Considering the rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi fans, Speed was fully backing Messi’s most significant threat to win the prize, Erling Haaland. Haaland could not defeat Lionel Messi, to which Speed reacted hilariously. However, Speed still got to meet the person he was backing.

At the ceremony, Speed spotted the 23-year-old Norwegian star. Speed goes up to Erling Haaland, as he is busy with other people who are just as excited to meet him. Haaland asks him to wait two minutes.

Speed waited for his turn as he said: 

He's Hollywood-ing me, bro.

Eventually, Speed makes his way to the Manchester City striker, and Haaland extends his hand.

Speed shook his hand and hugged Erling Haaland. Haaland asked: 

How are you, my friend?

Speed responded: 

Let's go, brother. Nice to meet you. Finally, bro.

Haaland looked down at Speed’s feet and asked:

What's with the shoes, man?

Speed looks mildly surprised at the remark but takes it in good fun. In return, he asked: 

Bro, what's up with your hair? referring to Haaland's iconic ponytail.

Haaland responded: 

It's nice. You don't like it? as he put his hand on Speed's shoulder. Speed barked at Haaland upon hearing this.

Speed responded: 

You such a b*tch... Hold on, let me get a pic.

Haaland chuckles and agrees to his request. After this, the two part ways as Speed chants the Norwegian superstar’s name.
