On April 23rd, YouTuber InternetAnarchist tweeted that he had lost $8000 in revenue due to Adin Ross falsely claiming copyright on one of his video. The YouTuber had happened to use a clip of Adin’s stream where Adin had interviewed Sneako. Adin had used this to claim copyright against InternetAnarchist making the latter lose his revenue. YouTube’s regulation allows people to claim copyright if the video has them mentioned or has a content from their channel used by another content creator. Claiming copyright strike allows the claimer to take the ad revenue from the video of the accused.
