MrBeast’s Feastables replies to the claims that sweepstakes are rigged
The Press recently spoke with a Feastables official to dispel allegations that MrBeast’s new Willy Wonker-style sweepstakes are rigged. MrBeast’s latest business venture, Feastables, sees the YouTube sensation market his line of chocolate bars. What’s the catch? Each bar has a code that may be entered into the Feastables contest.

Other creators, of course, have made their content by redeeming these coupons. Due to the small possibility of winning a reward or offer, Feastables customers began to wonder if the sweepstakes were rigged. Recently the press had spoken with Feastables’ Head of Products and Growth, Ben Acott, to learn more about why individuals appear to lose so regularly. He also explained how sweepstakes work or what the chances are of actually winning are.

Feastables by MrBeast is a pure chance numbers game

Due to the number of continuous losses that customers have experienced, many have begun to assert that perhaps the Feastables sweepstakes is rigged. The contests, however, are “difficult to hack or rig,” according to Scott. Winning a reward is a game of “pure chance,” and the massive number of bars sold & codes used makes it extremely unlikely.
Acott says that slightly over $436k in rewards have been dispersed from the $1 million prize pool. Feastables gifts have been awarded to over 35,000 people, including merch, candy bars, Beast Burger vouchers, Beats by Dre, and $10,000 in cash.
This seems enticing, but the statistics show how slim the chances of winning are. Acott indicated that millions of bars have indeed been sold in the last five weeks without giving an exact figure. Only about 200k codes have indeed been retrieved from those bars. We can’t calculate the actual possibility of victory without knowing the exact amount of code entered and prizes won. However, based on the information provided, each code has a 17 per cent probability of winning the prize.
