“How does your wife feel about this?” MrBeast’s friend Chris Tyson faces hate from transphobic groups following HRT, TikTok takes action

Chris Tyson, one of YouTube’s most well-known sensations, MrBeast‘s, closest friend from childhood and his comrade since the beginning of his YouTube journey, recently came out as trans.
While a lot of people came rushing to his support, Chris has also been heavily criticized by a lot of people on the internet. Especially on platforms such as Elon Musk-owned Twitter, for which MrBeast is also called the unofficial CEO as a joke, and TikTok.
Chris recently came out to the world about his gender identity revealing that he would now identify as being transgender. The announcement was made by him on Twitter and he was quickly hit by tons of backlash.
Chris also announced last week that they had been on Hormone Replacement Therapy(HRT) since the past two months and had been seeing major changes in his body. Going on to say that “informed consent HRT saved my(Chris’) and many others’ lives.”
Since then, Chris has gone on to receive numerous hate comments all around the internet every single day since then. With some people going as far as saying that they would be praying for his son.
Some also replied to his tweet and asked him shaming rhetorical questions such as “How is your wife handling it?” and when people called them out, the person went on to defend himself in the most absurd ways
There were more people who went on to say more hurtful things directed towards Chris and the entire trans community in general. Not only did these comments seem absurd, but also a direct attack at anyone belonging to the community while also disrespecting Chris in the worst ways.
There were multiple TikTok videos as well that were directing hate towards Chris and were amassing a lot of views which brought them into the attention of TikTok. Overall, 8 videos were removed which had collected over 1 million views altogether.
TikTok came forward to reveal that they had removed the videos since they were in violation of the platform’s community guidelines on “hateful behavior” which clearly states that the platform is against any sort of harassment against protected attributes such as gender and sexual orientation.

Chris not only took all these comments like a champ, but also went on to not pay any heed to what these people were saying. He showed immense pride in who he had decided to be and received numerous supportive comments as well!
Being fair, Chris received far many positive comments than negative ones and it goes on to show that MrBeast’s audience is well educated on gender affirming matters and matters related to sexuality.
