“You are a legend”: Neymar Jr. cheers up CS:GO pro s1mple post his team’s loss at IEM Rio Major 2022

Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr. has time and again expressed his interest in eSports and gaming. His fans are already aware that as a Facebook Gaming streamer, he has tried his off-field skills in video games such as Call of Duty, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and fared pretty well.
It seems that the PSG-striker was closely following the IEM Rio Major 2022, one of the most prominent CS:GO tournaments that is going to be concluded tomorrow, declaring its final winner. The tournament that is taking place in Brazil, saw an intense match between NAVI and FURIA where the former team lost, knocking them out of the tournament.
One of the greatest players of CS:GO, Oleksandr Olehovych Kostyliev, known popularly by his in-game name ‘s1mple’ belonged to this fan-favorite team and was apparently disheartened with the loss, but a promise of coming back strong remained intact. As a consequence, Neymar Jr. decided to send his wishes to the player, claiming “S1mple, My Friend, This is Brazil, You’re a legend, GG”.
The pro player then acknowledged the much unexpected wish stating on Twitter from his account that goes by the name ‘Sasha’, “gg man, hope Furia will get 1 more trophy to your collection.” s1mple wished luck to FURIA, a team that Neymar Jr. has been supporting throughout in CS:GO.

The star striker might be gearing up to play for Brazil at the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 at Qatar but he is also making sure to support his favorite team at the IEM Rio Major 2022 that commenced on October 31st. Neymar Jr. has been associated with the FPS game for quite a while, as well as its eSports teams such as FURIA.
As expected, the footballer showed his support for the team ahead of their clash with NAVI, another popular eSports teams across the world that features none other than ‘s1mple‘. The footballer won hearts when he wished luck to the player who belongs to the opponent team, before the match kicked off.

Post the match, he decided to encourage the pro sniper claiming that he will always remain a legend. He also highlighted the crowd at Brazil, which was enough to compete with the likes of football or cricket matches.
With NAVI getting knocked out from the tournament, there remain three teams along with FURIA eSports that will compete against each at the semi-finals to claim the coveted trophy of IEM Rio Majors 2022. Fans can tune in at 10:00 am PDT / 6:00 pm CEST / 10:30 pm IST on November 12th to catch the action live.
