Overwatch 2 reveals its upcoming mini-anime series titled “Genesis”

Fans always love TV series. And the things that fans look forward to are adaptations or series based on popular media. These can either be novel/comic adaptations and are especially based on popular games! Recently, many series have been based on popular games, and they have been successful. Series like The Witcher, Arcane, & The Last of Us have become fan favorites. Moreover, just now, Overwatch 2 has revealed an upcoming animated mini-series, Genesis.
Overwatch has over 100 pages of lore. Comics, animated shorts, and in-game events tell the story. The lore is rich and complex. Moreover, developers are constantly expanding the lore. The lore is a big part of what makes Overwatch so popular. And the lore is about to get expanded further with a new series reveal. Players are excited about the recent revelations by the developers.

Overwatch Upcoming Animated Series Genesis
With the coming of Arcane & Dota’s animated series, many video game fans are expecting a TV series of their own. And recently, Overwatch revealed that it will have a brand new animated series based on the game lore called Genesis. This three-part anime mini-series is set in the Overwatch universe. Furthermore, Blizzard has released a one-minute trailer for the animated series, allowing fans to see how well they have made the upcoming series. Fans can watch the series on their YouTube channel after it’s released.
Fans have had varied reactions to this upcoming series since a campaign mode for Overwatch was rejected.

Blizzard will release the first part of Genesis, titled “Dawn,” on July 6 at 9 am PT and 12 p.m. ET. It will have a runtime of five minutes and 13 seconds. Fans are excited to watch this series. This mini-series will show players how the Omnic Crisis occurred. Moreover, we may also observe how the Overwatch 2 story continues to be affected moving forward. This is a great step taken by the developers, and fans are eagerly waiting for it.
