The team has a lot of momentum behind it, having finished runners-up in the Valorant Champions 2023 and the recent Afreeca Valorant League. Not only is it highly dominant, but it is also infamous for its peculiar style of play.

Paper Rex is part of the VCT 2024 Pacific region, battling against ten other teams to earn a spot at the first Masters tournament of the season, VCT Masters, Madrid. The team has not lost any form in the off-season, still appearing as dominant as ever.

Paper Rex beat Gen.G 2-1 in the group stage and easily qualified for the semi-finals. The organization was pitted against a worthy opponent in the form of T1 in the semi-finals. The winner of the match was guaranteed a spot in VCT Masters Madrid and a guaranteed 2nd-place finish at VCT Pacific.

Such a severe game did not stop Paper Rex from performing their hilarious antics. During their best-of-3 series, Paper Rex trolled T1 by picking three duelists from the same team composition in game 1 on Split.

Paper Rex has been known to be this unhinged hound who just wants to wreak havoc in matches, so this was not surprising to many PRX fans.

During the playoff match, their unhingedness came out again, as PRX picked three duelists out of the five players. The official Paper Rex Twitter account posted a photo of this team comp while up against T1. The post was captioned, “At this point, are you guys even surprised anymore?”

The screenshot displayed f0rsakenN playing as Yoru, Monyet on Raze, and something as Jett. Meanwhile, their other teammates sported Omen and Viper.

Despite this hilarious setup, Paper Rex beat T1 and qualified for VCT Masters Madrid. Fans were greatly amused by Paper Rex’s tactics and appreciated them for having some fun in such a serious tournament.
